July 22-24, Inexpensive activities for the whole family

This weekend you could enjoy the sounds of the Henry Varner Band as part of the Sounds of Summer Series in Stockbridge.  They will play Saturday evening starting at 6:30 on the lawn of the Stockbridge City Hall (Lawn opens at 6:00).  No admission fee!

Enjoy a family day out for Family Fun Days at Centennial Olympic Park in Atlanta.  This month’s theme is ‘All about Sports’.  Activities include educational programming, family-friendly performances, children’s crafts, life-size chess games, appearances by on-air personalities, local sports mascots, contests, prizes and more! Also Free!

Stay inside and enjoy the inflatables at Jump 2 it in Peachtree City.  Open jump hours are Friday 10-4 and Sunday 1-6.  $5 per child.  They also have many party package options.

Looking ahead…..

Next weekend you can celebrate Christmas in July!  Strap on your running shoes and head to Cruising for Christmas in July @ Union Grove High School.  There is still time to pre-register (and save a little moo-lah!) You can run a 5K, walk a mile (or stay in bed and claim a phantom runner t-shirt).  Little ones 6 and under can participate in the Elf Trot for free.  This one is nice and early -8 am -so you can finish up before the real heat hits.
