Weight Loss Wednesday: Going Dairy Free

So, week one back at it, I lost 2 lbs!  Woohoo!  My only disappointment is that I didn’t reach my activity goal of walking 5 of 7 days.  Granted, it did rain more than 2 days this week, so I could use that as an excuse. I need to ramp it up in the activity department anyway.  This week I plan to get out my Biggest Loser DVD’s to increase the intensity of my workouts.  I am trying to work on a more consistent weekly schedule, so finding a place for my workouts is at the top of my list.

A new challenge for me, diet wise, is that I am now going ‘dairy free’.  Eli is showing some signs of a milk protein intolerance.  Some of my best go-to snacks are dairy, including yogurt and cottage cheese.  I will have to come up with some new healthy options, but just so everyone knows….Oreos do not contain any milk product 🙂

Change from last week: -2lbs

Goal:  Find 3 non-dairy healthy snacks, workout with Biggest Loser DVD’s 3x

Motivation: Getting the extra weight off will alleviate some pain in my knees
