Manic Monday– Rachel’s Schedule

Monday , 10, September 2012 1 Comment

It is Monday.  Are you ready for it?  This is what {most} Mondays look like for me.

I love this face---even if he wakes up at 5am sometimes!

Between 5:00 and 7:00 Eli is awake for the day.  We start our day by hanging out in the den for a while.  I usually pull a pillow over to Eli’s toy area and lay down while he climbs on me.

7:00-7:30 Breakfast.  Eli loves to eat!  His new diet has not slowed him down (more on that later!) Monday’s chore is laundry so I start by throwing in a load, or switching loads, if I got a head start the night before.

7:30-8:30 Clean up kitchen, take a shower.  Eli plays pretty well in the pack-n-play while I shower.

8:30-9:30 We head to a Weight Watchers meeting.  I work for WW but also attend a meeting as a member every Monday morning.  It means I have to be good over the weekend….right?

9:30-12 We go to some kind of playdate after the meeting.  Sometimes we meet friends at the park, sometimes my neighbor and her son come over to play.  Either way, we are occupied until about lunch time.

12:00-12:30 Lunch! Another favorite for Eli.

12:30-2:30 Nap time!  A favorite for Me.  Eli sleeps at least 2 hours. During this time I blog, clean things, feed the dogs, eat lunch (and maybe watch a little TV), send emails, meal plan, make a grocery list, fold and put away laundry….you know the drill.  Sometimes I nap too.  It pretty much depends on how well Mr. Eli slept the night before.

2:30-3:30 If Eli is awake he has a snack and then we play outside, usually in his swing in the back yard.

3:30-5:00 This is the home stretch…..by this time we are pretty much ready for daddy to get home.  If I have any errands to run, we take care of them in the afternoon.

5:00-6:00 Make dinner.  If hubby is not traveling for work he gets home sometime between 5:30 and 6.

6:00-7:00 Daddy plays with Eli, Eli gets dinner, Mommy cleans up from making dinner and starts to get Eli ready for bed

7:00-7:30 Bath time for Eli followed by bedtime, usually between 7:30 and 8.

8:00-11:00 Mommy and Daddy eat, and then hang out together, or at least in the same room.  We often watch TV and chat.  I make sure blog posts are ready to go for the next day.  I gather clean bottles to have in the upstairs bathroom for when Eli wakes up in the night.  I probably still have some laundry to complete.  I wash diapers and hang them to dry. I am in bed by 11 although I should make it no later than 10.

There you have it.  I have to admit, this one kid gig isn’t so bad!  Eli is a very good natured little guy and doesn’t mind being toted from place to place.  Maybe next Monday one of our contributors will weigh in about their Manic Monday schedule.
