Local Spotlight: Bubbles & Brushes

Wednesday , 5, June 2013 2 Comments

Last week, the Goober and I met up with some friends for a playdate and thought we would try out one of the places that made PSMB’s 25 Summertime Activities List: Bubbles and Brushes in Newnan, Georgia. Bubbles and Brushes is a full service art studio, where they have an “open studio” policy where you can go in and pay $5/hour to paint a canvas. They have canvases of various sizes available for purchase and they provide the paint (both washable and tempura paints), brushes, and art supplies and the best part is: THEY do the clean up!!! They also do private parties, birthdays, Mommy and Me classes, and even Special Needs classes as well.  For $5 plus a $4 medium-sized canvas, the Goober and I had a blast with his friends and made new art for his bedroom. And I can’t stress the awesomeness of this enough: the only thing I had to clean up was the Goober, which was a good thing considering he looked like this after only 6 minutes there.

I highly encourage checking them out for yourself! (And no, I am in no way endorsed or received any perks/discounts to write this review. I just think this place was a lot fun and makes a great summertime activity to stay cool through the summer heat.)
