Local Pumpkin Patch Round Up

It is that time of year!  Do you have your pumpkins yet?  What’s the hold up?  We are lucky to have a couple really great options south of Atlanta that are not too far from home .

**Take a trip to Southern Belle Farm in McDonough and enjoy all kinds of great fall activities.  Pick a pumpkin or two, take a hay ride and enjoy the corn maze.  Stop by this coming Saturday, the 20th, for the Farm Heritage Day and Antique Show from 12-4.  Enjoy the family Fall Festival on October 27th from 2-6. Don’t forget to wear your costume!

**If you are closer to Coweta County, you might want to check out Uncle Bob’s Pumpkin Patch.  Visit their petting zoo, take a hay ride, explore the corn maze or enjoy story time.  Check out their website for the complete list of activities available at Uncle Bobs.

**Whitley Farms in Sharpsburg is having a full day of activities on October 20th.  There will be pumpkin and cupcake decorating, strawberry planting, and more.

Which pumpkin patch do you plan to visit this year?

We got our pumpkin in Kroger this year, but I’ve been to the Hillside Orchard Country Store and Farm, http://www.hillsideorchard.com, in Rabun County, and they have GREAT pumpkins and a corn maze! It’s about 2 hours and 15 minutes from the South side of Atlanta. They also have great apples and Jams and Jellies, including F.R.O.G. and T.O.E. jam! The leaves are starting to peak, and the fall colors are beautiful!
