If you”d love to save a little time, especially now that school has started, investing in some meal planning and pre-preparation may be just the ticket to a few minutes of extra sleep or more time for yourself! A little bit of effort will pay off big-time when family meal preparations are easier and less stressful!
Below are a few of my favorite crock pot and make-ahead meal websites. Some walk you through making several meals at a time and freezing them.
Stacy Makes Cents has “100 Days of No Processed Foods” via the crock pot.
Naturally Healthy Concepts has posted a selection of Gluten Free Crockpot Recipes.
This Lady”s House has a collection of 10 meals in a day that you can cook in about 30 minutes or simmer on the stove fairly quickly, no crockpot required.
If you can set aside a few hours once a month to plan and assemble meals, it will save you many more hours than you spend! You can make your own meal plans by choosing some of your favorite meals, then buying ingredients to make them in bulk and freeze them.
If doing make-ahead meals on your own seems intimidating, share the tasks with a friend! I used to get together with friends to do make-ahead meals on a regular basis. Divide the shopping and any cooking that needs to be done ahead of time, then split the bills and meals when you finish.
I”d love to hear about YOUR favorite recipes and websites for time-saving meals!by
