I was invited to an event to check out a new Graco car seat .Cool, right? I was excited to see the goods, but also couldn’t wait to meet other Mommy Bloggers from the Atlanta area. We met at the Country Inn and Suites in Buckhead and were welcomed by a spread of yummy goodies, including chicken fingers and artichoke dip provided by TGI Fridays, and some awesome cake pops! Can you believe I hadn’t had a cake pop until that night? YUM!
I introduced myself to a few of the gals standing around and it didn’t take long for us to find our seats and start chatting about….what else?…our kids! Then the presentation began. We were shown all the bells and whistles of the new Graco Snugride Click Connect 40. And lots of bells and whistles there are! The big selling point of this car seat is that it is an infant style car seat that can be used rear facing for a child up to 40 lbs. Now, my son turns 1 next week, and part of my excitement in him becoming one was centered around being legally allowed to turn his car seat around to front facing. I know, I know…it is recommended that you leave your child rear-facing until 2 years old, but how fun would it be to look in the rear view mirror and see his little face?..and be able to hand him his juice when he drops it? Well, after the presentation, I was convinced to change my tune a bit. The safety statistics are no joke, ladies. I want my son to be as safe as possible, and rear-facing until he is 2 is the way to go!
So, about the car seat! I was skeptical as to whether my 99% kid would actually fit into it…but he does! It is pretty amazing that the car seat can hold a child from the time they are born until 40lbs! The base has 8 different recline positions to provide the most legroom possible for your little…or bigger kiddo. Take a look at the Graco Snugride Click Connect 40 here.
I had a great time learning about the car seat (and even got to bring one home!) and really loved getting to chat with the other local Mamma Bloggers. We had a great time!
The Graco SnugRide® Click Connect™ 40 – the first and only newborn to two-year infant car seat that actually grows with your baby from four pounds all the way up to 40 pounds. The car seat is designed for a parent on the go. The infant car seat can be easily removed from the base and used as a carrier when the infant is small, providing portability and convenience so you can easily move your infant in and out of the car without disturbing them.
The American Academy of Pediatrics recently made the recommendation to keep all children in rear-facing car seats until the age of 2. Graco set out to make this product so parents can keep infants rear facing longer while still keeping them comfortable.
