1. When did you first become a mommy and how did it change your life?
I became a mommy on June 30, 2011, the day after my 26th birthday. I felt that I had changed so much awaiting the arrival of Miss Isla that when she was here it was just the whipped cream on top! I just remember crying at how beautiful and perfect she was and then having all those emotions of happiness, over-the-top love, fear, and doubt. It was pretty amazing, exciting, and nerve-wracking!
2. What would your children say is your best quality…..and your worst quality?
Well Miss Isla would just tell you “NO!”, her new favorite word, and Cole isn’t speaking much these days. 😉 So if I’m speaking for them, as I normally do, I would say my best quality is being able to go with the flow. I can deal pretty well if things don’t go as planned or the schedule gets off track. And sometimes, lets face it, I’m the one who changes things up! As for my worst quality, I would say that I worry too much. I’m sure Isla would love to go down the big slide at the park, but this mama is just too scared!
3. What is the most difficult thing about being a mom? Most rewarding?
The most difficult thing about being a mom is juggling everything. It’s not like I can just be Isla and Cole’s mommy despite wanting that to be my only “job”. The most rewarding part is just watching them grow and learn. It’s amazing to see that little brain work and I just love to see both children doing new things each day.
4. What is your favorite mommy tool?
I wouldn’t say I have any one favorite mommy tool, but I love to make something out of nothing. I love pulling out random household objects for Isla to play with. She has a ton of store-bought toys, but there is just something about playing with pots and pans or a sheet that makes her have so much fun!
5. What are you looking forward to this summer.
Since we are new to Georgia, I am looking forward to partaking in all the summers here have to offer. I can’t wait to do a lot of outdoor activities with the kids. Plus, my husband may get some leave this summer and be able to visit us!
