Date Night: Franks at the Old Mill

When we walked in the door the first thing that drew my attention was the dessert case. Oh they looked heavenly!  We were serviced so quickly that I didn’t have a chance to look closely.  All I knew is they looked amazing! We had a reservation and were seated immediately. We both loved the restaurant atmosphere. The wood walls, the lighting, and best of all- no television! There is something to be said for a sports bar y’all but no television means conversation! Real uninterrupted conversation with your companion- perfect for date night.

We were going all out so I got the most expensive thing on the menu- Surf and Turf- and my hubby got Prime Rib. Our server was extremely attentive and the food was yummy! We each got our own dessert and they were HUGE. They did not disappoint at all- I would go back just for dessert!  My hubby got Tiarmisu – of course – it was the best one I’ve ever had!  I got Chocolate Cheesecake.  Enough said!
Even though we essentially spent as much as we could, you could eat at Franks for a reasonable date night price and get great food. We will be returning.  The busy season might be past, but it still may be worth it to call ahead and make a reservation, particularly on a weekend.  Oh- and we recommend Sven as your server!
disclaimer: I learned later that there are two Franks at the Old Mill restaurants. Apparently we went to the newer location. We thought it was awesome!
